Pencils, colouring pencils, small sketchbook/paper for planning. A digital camera is a great way of recording your ideas.
Fabrics

1m x 25cm wide (40” x 10”) light cotton foundation fabric
1m x 25cm wide (40” x 10”) flat wadding
1m x 25cm wide (40” x 10”) backing fabric
A variety of decorative threads for hand and machine quilting in toning colours. Neutral construction thread
3m strip of fabric for binding (1½” to 2½” wide depending on how wide you want your binding to be. 1½” will give ¼” wide binding; 2½” will give ½” wide binding)
Assorted embellishments to fit your theme – buttons, beads, etc
Approximately 20-30 pieces of fabric to represent your scene – these can be cottons, silks, tweeds, velvets, textile papers, wools, fleece – the list is endless – be creative. Each piece approx 12” wide by between ½” to 3” long.
